You should have had an email from the organisers of the ride about registering your time of arrival.

If you haven’t registered yet please do so ASAP and register for the 10am to 11am slot. There are limited numbers available for each of the slots so please ensure (if you can) to register for this slot so that all Hatters will be together.

Mother’s day ride through Wootton Bassett – Official Announcement.
The Following announcement has been passed to us by the event organisers. This replaces all previous announcements. The FAQ will be updated to reflect this new information.

An announcement… and at last it’s great news!

All the agencies (Police, MOD & Local Authorities) have come together to make the Mother’s day ride through Wootton Bassett possible.

The ride will now start within the Hullavington Airfield nr Buckley army barracks (A429) and all of the 10331 registered riders will pass through Wootton Bassett before dispersing. All registered riders will soon receive (by email) full instructions/documentation of the route, arrival / leaving times, a proof of registration and the method by which we are going to get this many riders through a small Wiltshire village safely and without causing total gridlock.

We absolutely understand how difficult it must be for those that missed registration however must ask non-registered riders NOT TO ATTEND; As this poses a major threat to fellow bikers who would be at very high risk if left stationary on the M4 motorway as a result of any of the local junctions becoming blocked.

We must stress that ONLY REGISTERED RIDERS will be able to go on the organised ride.

We would like to thank The Unity Ride team for their assistance in the negotiations, planning and kind offer to marshal.

There is a place left for the New Rider Course.************
If you have past your test in the last 12 Months this course is aimed at bringing the rider on a level & will get you used to riding to a better standard & in a group. You will have 1 Instructor to 3 Riders so you should get the best tuition.
The days course is £65

There are 12 hatters attending on this course so we will all ride up to the training centre near preston together. I will put some details on the web site nearer the time.


NEXT TRAINING DAY SAT 24TH APRIL

I am organising another training day & there are 2 levels of course.

New Rider Level 1 : This is for new riders who have been riding 12 months & want to take thier riding to the next level. This will incorporate group riding.

Advanced Level 3: This course is for the experienced rider who would like some advanced riding techniques. This takes the rider to a level that will be good enough for you to marshal (if you want to) or just learn some advanced techniques. It will incorporate group riding, advance cornering, overtaking safely & braking techniques.

The advanced level of riding you will get a certificate to say you have riden to an advanced level & you will get a discount off most insurance companies.


If you are interested a deposit of £20 is required. The balance on the day.
