PANCAKES FOR ALL 26.2.06
Sue and Pete hosted a Pancake Morning for their friends in the Hatters at their home in Rawtenstall. The event was a great success with at about 20 people attending. At least 8 of them came on bikes, braving the cold and Sue and Pete's notoriously steep and pot holed drive ! ! We all had a really lovely time. Sue followed Delia Smiths pancake recipe which was delicious and Pete handed out mugs of tea or coffee which were gratefully received by the bikers!!

CHINESE NEW YEAR 29.1.06
Ladies of Harley organised the met on Sunday 29th Jan for their first event since the new committee was formed: We met at the Café Rouge on Withy Grove after the Hard Rock Café had failed to open at 11.30am. Then on to Albert Square to watch the start of the parade with Sue climbing on a bin for a better view. From there we made our way through the packed crowds to the Chinese arch to see the fireworks and battle of the dragons. From there we fought our way back though the melée along Mosely Street, to where Joan had parked in the Lord Mayors space and headed back down Corporation Street to the Hard Rock Café for a brew and to meet some of our latecomers.
